Blue Jay On A Foggy Morning

December 22, 2017  •  2 Comments

It was foggy yesterday morning while I was at the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma. I was walking near the Baker parking area when a Blue Jay landed on a tree limb that was on the ground in front of me. It was alert to something on the ground and was paying me no attention. I was able to get several photos of it before it flew away.

It was a warm day yesterday with the temps getting as high as 75 degrees. I saw lots of wildlife at the refuge but didn't get many photos because of the thick fog. When the fog finally lifted it was late in the morning and not much was moving around.

The weather is changing today with the temps dropping and the clouds moving back in.

That's one serious looking Blue Jay! Wonder what caught his attention? They can draw blood with that bill... Ask me how I know. (Don't chase their little ones!)

Wonderful photo Steve as always, and love the description that goes along with it... felt like I was right there beside you watching and listening...

Merry Christmas and a very happy new year... so looking forward to the coming year and all the good stuff you inspire us with.
