I was driving the tour road at the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma when I spotted three Coyotes in the middle of a soybean field. Two of the Coyotes turned and ran south through the soybeans into the woods. The one I photographed walked to the edge of the field and stood to watch me. This lasted for several minutes before it turned and went into the woods.
As soon as I spotted the Coyotes I pulled over and had my camera on a beanbag across the open window of my pickup. This was on July 19th at 07:52 in the morning. I was using my Canon EOS 7D Mark II with a Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM lens. I was shooting with a shutter speed of 1/800 of a second at f5.6. The ISO was at 800. I had the exposure mode set at manual with auto ISO and evaluative metering. White Balance was set on auto. I was using single point, continuous autofocus.
